Hosting support that answers to you, not the host

Independent support for whatever you are hosted on: shared, VPS, or cloud. We manage the sites, email, DNS, and panel your host will not touch. From $140/mo.

Hosting support usually means your host’s helpdesk, and it has a hard edge. They will reboot the server, check the disk, and confirm the service is up. The moment the problem is your site, your email routing, or a DNS record, you get the same line: “that is an application issue, please contact your developer.” So now you need a developer, at the worst possible time.

We are that person, on retainer, and we do not care who your host is. Shared cPanel, a Hetzner or DigitalOcean VPS, AWS Lightsail, a managed WordPress plan — we work above the host on the parts that actually run your business. We do not replace your hosting provider; they keep the hardware and network alive, and we manage everything that sits on top of it.

The parts the host hands back to you

What independent hosting support covers

Sites and applications

WordPress, OpenCart, and the apps on your plan: updates, PHP versions, SSL, caching, and the break-fix work that starts the second your host says "not our problem."

Email and DNS

Mailbox issues, deliverability, and the DNS records that route your site and mail. The exact things hosts are quickest to disown and slowest to explain.

Backups and recovery

Independent off-host backups, so when the host's backup is a week old or quietly missing, you have your own copy and someone to restore it.

The pattern is always the same: the server is technically fine, but the thing you actually needed working is not, and the host will not cross that line. That gap is the whole job.

Scope

What's included

We cover what runs on the hosting, on whatever provider you are with. Exact mix depends on tier; the baseline is below.

Site and CMS updates (WordPress, OpenCart, plugins, themes)
PHP version and configuration changes through your panel
SSL setup and renewal, including Let's Encrypt and custom certs
DNS record management and troubleshooting
Email account, routing, and deliverability fixes (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Caching and basic performance tuning within the plan's limits
Independent off-host backups with test restores
Liaising with the host's support when the issue really is theirs
Uptime monitoring with alerts that reach a human
Break-fix for site, email, and panel-level problems
Deliverables

What you get each month

Support you can see, not a retainer that disappears into someone's inbox.

01

Update and fix log

What was changed, updated, or repaired during the month, in plain language you can forward to whoever asks.

02

Independent backup

Your own off-host copy with a record that a recent restore actually worked, separate from anything the host keeps.

03

Uptime monitoring

Checks on the sites that matter, wired to alert us, so a site being down is our problem before it is your customer's.

04

One contact who knows your setup

Direct access to the person handling your hosting, instead of re-explaining it to a new agent each time.

Process

How onboarding runs

We start by mapping what you are actually on, since half of hosting problems are nobody having written it down.

1

Access and map

You give us panel, DNS, and email access. We document the host, the stack, where DNS lives, and how backups currently work, then flag anything already broken or risky.

First 48h
2

Stabilise

We fix the urgent issues, set up independent backups and monitoring, and tidy the DNS and SSL so the foundation is solid before routine work starts.

Week 1
3

Ongoing support

Updates, break-fix, email and DNS work, and dealing with the host when needed. A short monthly note records what happened.

Monthly
Pricing

Monthly support, host-agnostic

Two tiers depending on how much runs on your hosting and how fast you need answers. No long contract; leave with your backups and documentation.

On a host you are thinking of leaving?

If half your problems are the host itself, support and a migration often cost less together than another year of fighting the helpdesk. Say so up front and we will tell you whether managing the current setup or moving it makes more sense.

Where this fits

How this connects to the rest of the stack

This is our website maintenance work aimed at whatever hosting you already have. If your sites are WordPress, managed WordPress support goes deeper on that stack. Email the real headache? hosted email setup and deliverability handles Workspace and Microsoft 365. And if a host has already left you with a broken or hacked site, hosting restoration sorts it out before support takes over. New here? The hosting overview explains how we work across providers.
